Father Muller College organised a programme to orient the faculty members to the different aspects of NAAC accreditation on 15.04.2024. Dr. Hareesh Shivu Gowda, the NAAC secretary of Father Muller Medical College Hospital was invited as the resource person. The programme was attended by all faculty members of Father Muller College.
Principal
of FMC, Prof. Cynthia Santhmayor initiated the session with the introduction
and welcome to Dr Hareesh Gouda. Dr Hareesh started the orientation with an
overview of the significance of NAAC accreditation for the institute. He highlighted
the importance of understanding the vision and mission of NAAC, the
significance of documentation of institutional activities and also the role of
NAAC accreditation in improving the overall quality of the institute. He
explained various aspects and stages of NAAC assessment, including IIQA, AQAR,
SSR, SSS and PTV along with the format of documentation, the pattern of fee
payment and the role of faculty and students in NAAC assessment.
He
shared a few experiences with NAAC assessment procedure, he clarified many
doubts of the faculty regarding various criteria in AQAR. Also, he explained
certain methods of data collection which will be helpful for our documentation.
The session was an educational experience and was well received by the
participants. The session was concluded at 12.30 pm by vote of thanks by Mrs.
Susmitha C.G, Associate Professor, FMC.
